Watch out for the Monkey

Watch out for the Monkey Monkey Eyes Covered Emoji and All-Seeing Eye Triangle iu

You can skip this backstory

Shortly after Facebook and Twitter got popular our CRM provider set up a hook to pull customer photos, details, email addresses, phone numbers, and all the things you shouldn't grab without permission from the new social media.  It was great!

I loved filling in more information on leads and having photos to remember faces within the CRM.  At the time, I was the guy who oversaw the CRM in our dealer group.  Because this was so new I had no idea how 200 salespeople were going to use it.  That answer came pretty quick.

One of our salespeople called a customer from a number found somewhere in their social media feed when the customer didn't give a phone number.  When the customer questioned how he got that number he didn't lie.  He told that customer how we had this cool new technology and he's been watching everything the customer put on social media.  Needless to say, the customer was pissed!  We didn't earn their business.

FRIKINtech has given you something extraordinarily powerful.  It is yours to do with as you please.  Just know we are not an on-duty lifeguard and you are swimming in the deep end of the pool.

However, we have warning signs.  When you see the monkey with hands over its eyes that's noting information the customer might not know you know.

Monkey Eyes Covered Emoji

When you see the triangle with the all-seeing eye that is another indicator there might be information on this page that puts you in an advantageous position too.
